Dunkin’ Donuts

Flavor:

  • Dunkin’ Donuts has a lot sweeter coffee than the rest of the shops I have reviewed. This could be because Dunkin‘ Donuts is more known for their fodunkin' donuts coffee and donutod than their coffee, but it still serves many different types of coffee. They do not have any signature drinks, like other shops may have, but they still have a variety to choose from. Not only coffee, but they provide many options for breakfast sandwiches and donuts. As in the title, their main focus is donuts, but coffee is becoming bigger. They also havespecial coffee drinks for different times of the year. For example, right now they havegirl scout cookie drinks. Other than that they provide with basic coffee drinks like:
    • Macchiato
    • Iced coffee
    • Iced lattes
    • Tea
    • Coolatta

Service:

  • Nothing necessarily stands out as exceptional about the service, but they do get your food and coffee quickly. They listen to your order carefully in order to make everything correctly. Something new Dunkin’ Donuts is the DoorDash Delivery by a Dunkin’ near you. You just enter in your address and they will provide you with the food or drink you desire to be delivered to you.

Atmosphere:

  • Most Dunkin’ Donuts shops look the same, with the same colors and decorations. They are all simple, yet distinct from other donut shops. It is not somewhere you should go to study, but it is a suitable place for enjoying breakfast with someone or taking donuts to go. It is not meant to be a “sit down and stay for an hour” coffee shop. I would say it’s louder and more chaotic than other places. That being said, it is still a decent breakfast/coffee shop.

History:

  • It all started in Quincy, Massachusetts when William Rosenberg opened a donut and coffee restaurant called “Open Kettle.” He then later changed the name to “Dunkin’ Donuts” in 1950. The gofirst dunkin' donutsal of the restaurant was to, “make and serve the freshest, most delicious coffee and donuts quickly and courteously in modern, well-merchandised stores.” He started to spread the shop to other states and cities across the country. The number of Dunkin’ Donuts shops went from 1 to 100 in just 10 years. Soon enough the restaurant introduced Munchkins or donut holes. This expanded to bagels in 1996 and sandwiches in 1997 as an addition to the menu, which leads to where they are now. The “America Runs on Dunkin'” campaign started in 2006 and began to become a common phrase. Dunkin’ Donuts has now increased to about 12,000 shops worldwide.
