Flavor:
The flavor depends on what drink you buy, but the one I bought—an iced, almond milk latte, with vanilla flavoring—had a fairly rich coffee flavor. If you get something more like a frappuccino, the coffee flavor will not be as strong. For some people this might not be an issue, since sweeter drinks could be your style. They have a wide variety of drinks, from black coffee to chai tea. The flavor is also determined by how much creamer or milk you ask to have added in. Obviously, the more you add, the more faint the flavor becomes. They have a wide variety of add-ins such as: whipped cream, french vanilla or carmel creamer, carmel or chocolate drizzle, etc.
Service:
- Nothing about the service necessarily stands out about how I was treated at Scooters. The workers listen to your order and have never gotten mine incorrect, but yet they make the coffee quickly and rarely make their customers upset. Now, this can sometimes depend on the workers there that day, so that could affect the review and impression I get from this coffee shop.
Atmosphere:
- I reviewed the coffee shop on O Street in Lincoln, NE (68510). This particular coffee shop is connected to a beauty shop, but that does not take away from the cozy, welcoming atmosphere you feel when you walk in. In addition to that, there is a loft area above the shop that has a few more tables and more seating as well. That allows for you to have some seclusion or privacy if needed. It is a fairly quiet place, with the comforting smell of coffee. I would expect it to be a beneficial place to study or have meetings with people.
History:
- Scooter’s Coffee was founded in 1998 by Don and Linda Eckles. The first coffee shop they built was in Bellevue, Nebraska. It was a drive-thru to stay loyal to their key concepts of, “staying committed to high quality drinks, speed of service, a clean store, and a big smile.” The owners, Don and Linda, created the name based off of their daughter’s nickname, “Scooter.” They adored the name and it worked with the idea that you can “scoot in and scoot out” of the coffee shop as quickly as possible. Don and Linda started to franchise the coffee shop in 2001. Now, there are about 200 Scooter’s locations in 16 different states, with 153 franchise building commitments to create new stores across the country.
